Materials processing using femtosecond lasers

摘要
The Femtosecond-regime pulsed laser has become the tool of choice for next generation precision materials processing. Experimental results are presented for femtosecond-regime laser precision machining and compared to processing conducted with laser pulse durations in the Nanosecond-regime and longer. The comparisons are accomplished using environmental scanning electron microscopy of machined surfaces.
