摘要
Nowadays, teenagers or the so-called Gen Y are likely to communicate and share things through social media. However, the information security component is lacking due to teenagers being unaware of information security matters. Many cases have been reported on the lack of precaution and prevention of threats while socializing in SNS (e.g., Facebook etc.) such as scamming activities, paedophilia, fraud and many more. This study was conducted as an initiative to instil information security awareness in Facebook and provide a guideline for secondary school students on using the social media, which in turn can assist them to take proactive action while using SNS. Besides that, this paper will elaborate on the approaches used to transfer knowledge on Facebook and related security issues to students.
