摘要
New data on (p) over bar p --> eta pi(0)pi(0)pi(0) at beam momenta 900-1200 MeV/c reveal evidence for a threshold enhancement in the f(0)(980)eta channel. Quantum numbers J(PC) = 0(-+) are preferred strongly over 1(++) and 2(-+). The enhancement may be interpreted as the high mass tail of a resonance below threshold decaying to f(0)(980)eta. The eta(1440)pi final state is observed with pi(1440) --> eta sigma and a(0)(980)pi. It is produced dominantly from the (p) over bar p P-3(0) channel, and is consistent with S-wave decays from an 1 = 1, J(PC) = 0(++) resonance observed earlier at 2025 MeV.
