摘要
A laser-diode-pumped Nd:YAG master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) system is developed to achieve higher average power at high repetition rate in a terawatt laser system. 250-W average power (1.25 J at 200 Hz) is demonstrated using the MOPA system. This system can also produce 105 W (0.62 J at 200 Hz) of frequency-doubled average power with a LiB3O5 crystal. The beam quality is sufficient to pump a Ti:sapphire crystal. A more energetic MOPA system that is developed as the fundamental source of 1-J second harmonic generation is reported.
