摘要
The yield and tensile strengths of under-aged (UA) and peak-aged (PA) aluminium 7017 have been measured at quasi-static and shock induced strain-rates, showing that PA has higher yield strengths whilst tensile strengths are similar in both states. Microstructural evidence shows failure is controlled by crack initiation at grain boundary inclusions. (C) 2004 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
