Viscosity and thermodynamics of viscous flow of the binary solutions of 2,5,8-trioxanonane with 1-propanol and 1-butanol

Viscosities of binary liquid mixtures of 2,5,8-trioxanonane (diglyme) with I-propanol and 1-butanol were determined at 288.15,293.15,298.15,303.15 and 308.15 K as a function of composition. The viscosities were used to test the relations of Hind, Grunberg-Nissan, Wijk, McAllister and Auslander. Excess viscosities were also calculated and fitted to Redlich-Kister equation. The activation energies of viscous flow have been obtained and their variations with compositions have been discussed.
