摘要
This paper provides an overview of a study on the dynamic response of pile foundations in liquefying sand during seismic shaking. The study included a series of dynamic centrifuge tests of pile supported structures in liquefying sand and the backcalculation of time histories of p-y behavior. The experimentally: determined dynamic:p-y curves provide insight into the mechanisms of soil-pile interaction in liquefying sand, showing characteristics that are consistent with the undrained behavior of liquefying sand. The study also included pseudo-static analyses that account for the effects of liquefaction using an apparent p-y scaling factor.
