摘要：

Renal cell carcinoma accounts for 3% of all adult solid tumors. Due to its anatomic position, several malignant and benign conditions can mimic renal masses. Sometimes the preoperative evaluation can be very difficult. We presented a 43-year-old male patient with a solid retroperitoneal mass preoperatively thought to be a renal tumor, which turned out to be ectopic splenic tissue histopathologically.
