Image scrambling degree evaluation method based on standard deviation

摘要
We provide a new method to evaluate the image scrambling degree. Firstly, we divide the scrambled image into suitable blocks, and assume the ideal state of scrambling is the pixels of all gray levels are uniformly distributed throughout the blocks, calculate the standard deviation of every gray level in each scrambling stage, then take a weighted average, and use the reciprocal of average to evaluate the image scrambling degree. The experiment results under Arnold transformation and sub-affine transformation show that the method is simple, effective and accordant with visual observation.
