Music therapy in medicine: a soft technology in the health promotion - the dance on the couches!

This paper presents music as a soft technology, employed as a therapeutic element in a medical context: "Music therapy in Medicine", and highlights the difference between that one and "Music in Medicine." Shows the power of music, the issue of musical predictability and unpredictability in the music employed in music therapy, the most used musical experiences by the patients and the music therapy techniques more employed in these contexts: musical re-creation and, mainly, points out the relevance of the "assisted composition", facilitating the expression of internal contents. Finally, considers the strength of music, in particular from rhythm as an "impeller" of movement, leading nurses and patients to dance, even the last were partially unable to move, due to the binding with the dialysis machine.
