摘要
This article mainly discussed the present application and development trend of the Building Information Model (BIM) in the field of architectural heritage management in China. BIM could create consistent relationship between geometric information and non-geometric properties in a building model, and had prominent technological characteristics such as design parameterization, data visualization, statistics automatization and work cooperation. So it not only could solve the problems of "Information Silo" among the traditional databases and of "Information Cutout" in the information managements, but also could provide a new development orientation for the Building Lifecycle Information Management (BLM) of architectural heritages in China. Now, as a new management technology, BIM should be developed in three aspects for BLM of architectural heritages: the customized development on specialization functions in the BIM software, information interchange among the different software, the interoperability managements on GIS and BIM.
