Integration of logistics and supply chain into electronic commerce

Electronic commerce is a rapidly changing and developing commercial mode. Its advantages can be summarized in one sentence - increasing the sales amount and lowering costs. However, there are a number of problems in the current e-commerce structure in China. One of the most important problems is a non-integrated approach in logistics and supply chain systems. The paper attempts to look into the problem by taking an example of BBT and analyzes the relationship between E-commerce and the logistics system. Integration and mutual promotion of logistics and supply chain is suggested for developing E-commerce and so is the concept of a core enterprise. It is also shown that logistics integration with supply chain management has to be utilized in E-commerce, in order to form a lot of steady, uniform, integrated and flexible E-commerce networks for sustainable advantages.
