摘要
According to the results of the pre-study of caregivers, there were no significant differences between professional caregivers and non-professional caregivers in terms of their job performance and specifications. Non-professional caregivers think that their services are very professional, and they take pride in their service quality. Thus, a concrete and objective comparative study of the service quality professionalism of caregivers is needed. The current study designed to apply psychological approach of Service Quality to develop determinants of caregivers'. Research method designed to compare the distribution of Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality types in caregivers compared to the Determinants of Service Quality model (SERVQUAL). The MBTI divides individuals into four dichotomous types: Extroverted and Introverted, Sensing and Intuitive, Thinking and Feeling, and Judging and Perceiving. This yields eight single-factor and sixteen four-factor types. 65 caregivers were administered the MBTI-Form F. Professional caregivers were significantly more often Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Perceiving single-factor types respectively, and Introverted-Sensing-Feeling-Perceiving, and Introverted-Intuitive-Feeling-Perceiving four-factor types. This study explores the job specifications of professional and non-professional caregivers and compares service quality elements with MBTI traits. Moreover, it explores ways to improve the service quality by applying the findings in selecting and educating caregivers.
