Chatter suppression with adaptive disturbance model in machine tools

摘要
Chatter is one of the most undesirable phenomena in modern machining. The effects of the chatter are: poor quality of the machined surface, high level of vibrations, shortening of tool life. To alleviate the problem vibration-absorber s are used. In the paper IMP methods to control a semi-active vibration absorber are presented and compared with methods based on pole placement and suboptimal pole and zero placement approach. The proposed methods are based on time invariant and adaptive disturbances models.
