Phase transition in a complex superconductor of BEDT-TTF series by nonlinear susceptibility

摘要
Nonlinear magnetic response to an AC excitation held are examined for kappa-(BEDT-TTF)(2)Cu(NCS)(2) at zero external DC held. Temperature dependence of M-3 omega', the third-harmonic in-phase component, depends strongly on field amplitude h and also on sample preparation. At a weak field amplitude of h < 0.1 Oe, however, it shows a common positive peak around 9 K, indicating a negative divergence of nonlinear susceptibility chi(2) at the superconductive transition temperature T-c.
