An Empirical Research on the Effects of Paternalistic Leadership on Employees' Thriving at Work under Difference Matrices

摘要
dThe current literature about the study of Employees' Thriving at Work most stay in the theoretical level, while for the Paternalistic Leadership that reflects typical Chinese culture and characteristics, may have a complex relationship with Employees' Thriving at Work. This has been a hot topic for our management research. We have selected a sample concluding 328 employees, to discuss how the Paternalistic Leadership influences Employees' Thriving at Work. Data shows that, Benevolent Leadership and Moral Leadership have a positive relationship with Employees' Thriving at Work, while Authoritarian Leadership has a negative relationship with Employees' Thriving at Work. The Difference Matrices plays a moderating role on the relationship between Benevolent Leadership, Moral Leadership, Authoritarian Leadership and Employees' Thriving at Work. The further result also tells us that the interaction between Benevolent Leadership and Authoritarian Leadership has a positive effect on Employees' Thriving at Work, the interaction between Moral Leadership and Authoritarian Leadership has a positive effect on Employees' Thriving at Work.
