On some parameters of a sounding signal when detecting nonlinear scatterers

摘要：

The problem of constructing a simple sounding signal (SS) for detecting nonlinear electrodynamic structures is considered; the SS maximizes the power of a scattered signal. The results of the solution are presented for specific typical amplitude responses (ARs) of scatterers. It is shown that, for the given SS mean power, there may exist an optimum value of its on-off time ratio. A graphical method for finding the optimum SS pulse length is proposed.
