Mass transfer in thin films in liquid-liquid systems

摘要：
An extraction apparatus with thin gravitational liquid film to study mass transfer in ternary systems was used. Water/benzene and water/toluene systems using acetone as the transferred solute were investigated. For wavy liquid films, experimental results show an increase in the mass transfer due to the waves presence. This increase is a function of the wave parameters and hydrodynamic conditions in the film.
