摘要
Acoustic micro-imaging nondestructively images and analyzes internal features, including defects, in materials. Although conventionally used for planar samples, acoustic micro imaging was used here in a rotational mode to image cylindrical samples. Acoustic images, both planar and cylindrical, show both the quality of bonding between materials and anomalies in the bulk material. After rotational imaging of a cylindrical sample has been performed, nondestructive "acoustic cross-sectioning" of the sample can also be carried out.
