In addition to being less expensive when compared on a life-cycle basis, the esthetic and performance attributes of aluminum meet or exceed those of other roofing and siding materials for many applications. The expansion of this market depends upon further education of contractors and residential customers as to the benefits of the aluminum product. Cooperation between the building associations, the roofing suppliers and the aluminum producers is needed to maximize the potential of this market.
