摘要
The paper presents construction and operation method of a new switched reluctance motors supply system. The influence of supply system modification on SR-drive parameters is presented. The system was compared with typical SRM supply system based on H-type half-bridge converter. The calculations were carried out for two phase, 1 kW switched reluctance motor. In the paper the results of motor speed and output power computations are presented. Electrical losses in both supply systems are analyzed. As a result of using the new supply system the motor output power in high speed range has been essentially increased with respect to typical SRM drive whilst the efficiency can be kept at the same level.
