Ocular Presentation of Precursor B-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma and Optic Neuropathy in an Adult

Precursor B-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (PB-LBL) is a rare and aggressive sub-type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) that rarely manifests in the orbit, and is exceedingly rare in adults. Here, we report on a 21-year old man who presented with ocular complaints and was subsequently diagnosed with PB-LBL. He next developed an optic neuropathy that responded to high dose corticosteroids and induction chemotherapy. To our knowledge, only two cases of adult orbital PB-LBL are described in the literature.1 We report the first case of an adult with an optic neuropathy secondary to orbital involvement with PB-LBL.
