摘要
Youth tends to escape from loneliness and reality more to be involved in digital/technological addiction. In fact, they love their virtual/fantasy life rather than their current reality life. This research is focusing on the impact of online game addiction on Malaysian youth with association in playing massively multiplayer online game (MMOG). MMOG was selected as domain due to characteristics as real time game that have strong internet connection and interact with millions number of players. Hence, three factors were identified such as impact on time management, social life, and psychology of Malaysian youth addicts. A total of 250 respondents participated in this study. This study has been limited to a very narrow sample size of respondent's age range 18-40, and mostly those who have good educational background. To ensure the accuracy of result, only those who have Steam ID as garners can answer the survey distributed as method for this study. The statistical analysis helps to reveal the impact of MMOG. Findings from this research will help to propose diagnostic assessment which helps to identify MMOG addicts as solution for treatment and control for identified MMOG youth addicts. At the same time can contribute as Digital Detox Program for MALAYSIA MMOG addiction.
