摘要
Viewing ultrafast structural dynamics requires high brightness, short-pulse X-ray sources. Third generation synchrotrons provide sufficient brightness for many experiments; however, they are limited in their temporal resolution. In this paper we discuss ideas on how to extend the capabilities of the synchrotron down to picoseconds and below. (C) 2004 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
