Survey of rehabilitation counselor education programs regarding health care case management in the private sector

The purpose of this study is to survey Rehabilitation Counseling Education (RCE) programs on their views and educational practices regarding various aspects of health care case management as it exists in the private sector. The results indicated that, although RCE faculty appear to be quite aware of the growing employment trends in private sector case management, most perceive no need to modify curricula or establish a specialization track in case management. The implications for rehabilitation counselor education are discussed.
