摘要
Extruders with grooved feed sections have greater throughput and more stable conveying characteristics than those with smooth barrels with a comparable screw geometry. A survey of different designs of grooved feed sections is given here. They fall into two basic types: Those with a fixed geometry and those whose groove geometry can be varied during the extrusion process.
