The Analysis of Problem Solving Process of Pre-Service Physics Teachers by Habermas' Theory of Rationality

摘要
In this study, it is aimed to determine the difficulties encountered by pre-service physics teachers in mathematical problem solving process. In this context, a special model based on Habermas' theory of rationality was used. As a result, it was seen that pre-service physics teachers being strong or weak in one of the rationality components affects their performance of meeting the requirements of the other components and thus plays an important role on the successful completion of the process. The results are thought to be useful in identifying the difficulties experienced by pre-service physics teachers in the problem solving process, which is the most basic activity of mathematics.
