摘要
Ubiquitous Sensor Networks (USNs) based on IEEE 802.15.4 is implemented in diversified fields such as environmental monitoring, disaster management, logistics management and home network, etc. By implementing such Ubiquitous Sensor Networks technology to Greenhouses it is possible to develop Ubiquitous-Greenhouse that allows environmental monitoring and actuator control. But, it is inadequate to operate large-scale network configured by expanding the network with limited energy resources of a sensor node. Therefore in this study, we virtually implemented Mesh coordinators between the sensor devices and data transmission paths toward a Gateway to solve above mentioned problem. In addition, to verify performance of the proposed USN based on Wireless Mesh Networks, we also conducted simulation on general USN based on IEEE 802.15.4 under identical environments then comparatively analyzed from acquired results of both simulations. Result has shown the performance of the proposed USN based on Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) having better performance, in terms of data transmission efficiency and energy consumption than USN based on IEEE 802.15.4.
