Automatic motor activation in stimulus-response compatibility: A topographical LRP study

摘要：
The Lateralised Readiness Potentials (LPR) constitutes an important tool in the study of mechanisms underlying stimulus-response compatibility. To date psychophysiological studies addressed mainly chronometric (timing) aspects of LRPs, and ignored the scalp distribution (or topography). The present study points out the importance of LRP topography in revealing similar motor activation mechanisms despite major differences in task instructions and reaction times.
