摘要
Crystallization and melting behaviors of isotactic polypropylene (iPP) nucleated with metal salts of benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid (BTC) were investigated with differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The results showed that calcium salt (Ca-BTC), potassium salt (K-BTC) and sodium salt (Na-BTC) had good nucleation effects. With incorporating 0.25wt% of Ca-BTC, K-BTC or Na-BTC into iPP, the crystallization peak temperature of iPP was increased by 7.9, 7.2 and 6.5 degrees C respectively, and the nucleation efficiency of the said three nucleating agents was close to that of HPN-68, so that the articles had fewer deflection in molding and shorter molding cycle period. But the nucleation efficiency of magnesium salt (Mg-BTC) was medium.
