The discussion will include a general look at the Y2K issue and some of the major impacts it could have on our society. It will present the plan developed at the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory to determine Y2K compliance for all equipment and software. This will include the inspection of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), computer BIOS, nondistributed calibration software, commercial software, and ally environmental system concerns. The report will detail a few case studies from various manufacturers. The presentation will also include a brief Y2K compliance demonstration.
