Experimental and numerical research on non-ideal detonation propagation and drive problems of high explosives

Them are many difficulties to simulate non-ideal detonation propagation and drive problems of high explosive (especially insensitive high explosive) wing traditional numerical simulation method. In this paper, the detonation shock dynamics method and front tracking method is studied. We developed the calculating code of DSD, and get a very high precision by using this code to simulate the detonation propagation experiments. Based on DSD, the detonation wave front tracking method was established. Compare with tradition simulated method, our simulated results are obviously fit well the detonation drive experiments.
