This paper revisits the Kuznets hypothesis. An extensive data set containing the most recent estimates of income distribution is utilized to test the Kuznets hypothesis. In addition, the data comparability problem, with respect to income distribution data, when conducting econometric analysis is addressed. The results indicate that the data comparability problem is not severe enough to nullify the estimates obtained from pooled regressions. The Kuznets hypothesis holds for this data set.
