Call and money: Fault lines between cosmetic and reconstructive surgery

In this article, the role of call and the allocation of income are discussed as critical components, or fault lines, within the structure of private plastic surgery practice. A system for the fair and realistic application of on-call time scheduling and compensation, and an equitable method for income division are presented as necessities for the survival of plastic and reconstructive surgery private practice. A method to achieve a realistic, constructive arrangement within cosmetic/reconstructive practices is presented as an alternative to the current methods of addressing the issues of time and money.
