摘要
Although there is a variety of software tools for product design and production planning, these are mainly standalone products, that do not provide efficient support for the planner. The necessity to reduce time-to-market further create the need for cooperative tools and integrated data management. In this context the presented digital factory concept is a software solution that enables concurrent engineering by parallelizing product design and production planning.
