Improving condom demand, the case of a hybrid of traditional and non-traditional social marketing methods

摘要
Traditionally Ghana has four sources of condoms, PPAG, Ministry of Health, the Private Commercial Companies and GSMF. GSMF is however the biggest distributor with 70% market share hence a crucial partner in the area of condom distribution. From 1996 through 1998, condom sales from the social marketing programme of GSMF were flat which was a big concern to all stakeholders. In February of 2000 a campaign was launched that changed the condom landscape in Ghana. After careful planning from 1998 through 1999 the campaign "Stop AIDS Love Life" was launched.
