A simple method for analyzing a 2-D photonic crystal waveguide

摘要
Straight single-line defect waveguide in two-dimensional photonic crystal structure is considered. Network modeling as well as transverse resonance technique is applied to obtain dispersion curve, and consequently the field distribution of the guided modes. This method is verified by comparison with results from a simple analysis based on the reflection plane concept.
