摘要
High arsenic concentrations due to a military contamination were found in the groundwater in Northern Germany. We reduced the arsenic concentration at one hot-spot by 90% using a novel in-situ technique within a two-year operational period and removed 2.3 kg arsenic from the groundwater. Inorganic arsenic compounds were immobilized by 99% and organically-bound arsenic by 82%. The immobilization is stable under field conditions.
