How is the Religious Service political? Attempt of Orientation at an Interface of Liturgics and Ethics

Current debates on public, social or political significance of church and its work motivate Practical Theology to reflect on a political dimension of traditional topics. The article focuses on the question how public worship can be political and suggests a possible structure: A political dimension can be seen as result of the non-effective character of worship, in contradiction to any 'direct action' (1), as an element of the liturgical practice or subjects (2) or as a consequence of a 'transformative' training through worship and its impact on everyday life (3).
