摘要
The environment of sustainable rural work is one that guarantees safety and preserves the physical and mental health of the worker. Environmental labor law standards must be complied with by employers and rural employees. The Public Authorities are responsible for drafting laws, implementing enforcement actions, penalizing and supervising workers' health, in order to guarantee sustainability in the workplace. The article aims at the rural work environment and aims to present the conceptual and legal bases of this environment and the principle of sustainability in order to understand the relationship between the rural work environment and sustainability to promote a safe life and healthy to rural workers. The article is divided into two parts: the first part deals with conceptual aspects of the rural work environment and sustainability; the second part deals with the main Brazilian standards for the protection of the environment of sustainable rural work and also with the bodies responsible for monitoring compliance with these standards. It is hoped that this work will contribute to the debate on the sustainability of the rural labor environment.
