摘要
The use of Digital libraries by Science faculty members for different aspects of their jobs, is discussed. The National Science Digital Library (NSDL) and its member projects are developing an online resource that provides the selection and context that will enhance available science education resources and help improve learning. The NSDL, funded by the US National Science Foundation and free to users, is a collaboration of projects with the goal to provide organized access to high quality resources and tools that support innovations in teachings and learnings. Materials in the library catalog include online textbooks from one author or a collaboration of many tutorials, activities, and lab exercises that actively engage students in learning. ComPADRE promotes and supports physical and astronomy education and the need to educate both future scientists and the public at large. It achieves this support through the organization and sharing online of teaching resources.
