摘要:
This article aims to describe the concept of colonialism and the process of chileanization (which are understood from the elements and the policies promoted by the state and the elites, as devices that attempted to ensure territorial control and economic, domain and population) in the territory called "La Frontera" on Chile in the early twentieth century, specifically in the Prefectures of Villarrica-Pitrufquen, the Mapuche symbolic place of resistance against the occupation of its territory. It is shown the number of actors that influenced the process of chileanization between 1900-1920. Methodologically it is used a document analysis of request and petitions that shows many actors influences on the chileanization process between the years 1900-20. It was concluded that the process of chilenization did not meet the expectations that led to the conquest of the land.
