摘要
The direct ion storage (DIS) dosemeter is based on the combination of an ion chamber and a non-volatile electronic charge storage element. This allows a new type passive dosemeter to be constructed with dosimetric characteristics ideally suited for measuring the H-p(10 and H-p(0.07) operational quantities. The DIS dosemeter is a passive device by nature but a direct non-destructive readout capability allows it to be used also as the detecting element in a personal alarming dosemeter. The features and benefits of an electronic legal dosemeter (ELD) system are described and the operational characteristics and specifications are presented and compared with conventional solid state and electronic dosimetry systems.
