Experimental Study on Flame Height and Plume Centerline Temperature Decay Power Index for a Porous Gas Burner Fire

摘要
In this paper, a porous gas burner was used, and its gas flow rate can be controlled. Fire plume experiments with different heat release rate (HRR) were carried out. Experimental video were processed based on' image processing method to get the mean flame height, maximum continuous flame height and maximum flame height were estimated. The experimental results were compared with the decay index of McCaffrey plume model. The results showed that with the increase in gas supply flow rate, the flame height grows slowly. The experimental fitting results of power index of temperature decay for the intermittent plume region and the pure buoyancy plume region are close to the theoretical value.
