摘要
The paper aims to present an innovative predictive voltage control (PVC) approach for an induction motor (IM) drive. The proposed control procedure is based on controlling the stator voltage vectors directly through incorporating the deadbeat control principle within the predictive controller. The stator field oriented control (SFOC) principle is utilized to design and construct the proposed PVC procedure. The cost function of the proposed PVC approach consists of the direct and quadrature (d-q) axes components of the voltage vectors errors. Thus, the cost function is simple and does not require using a weighting factor (w(f) ) as in classic predictive control approaches. Moreover, the cost function is free of the estimated variables which results in reducing the computation time and limiting the commutation losses as well. Another advantage for the proposed PVC approach is the reduced ripple and harmonic contents of the controlled variables in comparison with their corresponding values when adopting the classic predictive controllers. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed PVC, a detailed comparison is carried out between the IM drive performances when applying the proposed PVC and when adopting the classic predictive flux and current control. The test results confirm and emphasize the effectiveness of the proposed PVC over the classic predictive control.
