摘要
The main goal of the study is to identify and to interpret the social risks with which participants of contemporary society are confronted). The issue is viewed from gender perspective and defines different causes, consequences and character of social risks in regard to gender identity of an individual. Social risks are consequence of structural changes in society, dramatic changes in the labor market, in families and in functioning of the welfare state. However, the negative impacts of macro-structural changes are strictly individualized. Gender largely determines distribution of social risks and degree of threat of the actor in area of securing the necessities of life. Theoretical and methodological backgrounds are based on sociological concepts reflecting changes in postmodern society and its consequences for the life chances of individual actors. We checked basic assumptions through secondary analysis of quantitative data, we worked with statistic data and demographic indicators, which reflect the current status of the Czech population.
