On Shipborne Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging Based on Chirplet Decomposition

摘要
A new kind of radar imaging mode-Shipborne Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (S-ISAR) is proposed in this paper. For the S-ISAR, the radar is located on the ship platform, which has a three-dimensional (3D) rotation induced by the wave and a translational motion. Compared with the stationary platform, such as the coast-based ISAR, the S-ISAR is more flexible and unlimited with the imaging range. The signal model for S-ISAR is constructed in this paper, and the corresponding radar imaging algorithm is developed simultaneously. Then, the radar images of S-ISAR with simulated data for ship target are given, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the new method proposed in this paper.
