摘要：

The shift in healthcare policy to paying for value will drive how we measure the quality of palliative and end-of-life care. This article identifies some of the challenges of measuring the quality of palliative and end-of-life care, and discusses public-private partnerships and their progress in creating and developing consensus around effective quality measurement. It describes the attributes of the next generation of measures for palliative and end-of-life care, and their use as a tool in risk-based, alternative payment models to promote improved care.
