Comparative Study of Incentive Theory in China and the West - The Incentive Effects of China Dream and American Dream

Incentive is a multi-disciplinary category, a core part in such disciplines as psychology, management science and behavioral science. Both Chinese and Western scholars have conducted studies on incentive and formed a series of incentive theories. There are some differences in the connotation, extension and value of incentive theory, due to the different Chinese and Western cultural backgrounds. Based on national conditions of China, this paper adopts the scientific elements of Western incentive theory to improve and develop local incentive theory by comparing Chinese and Western theories. By using the example of the Chinese Dream and American Dream, one is thus able to explore the effects these incentive have on their people.
