摘要
Computer simulation nowadays is a standard tool when assessing energy performance of thermal systems. But complexity of the system to be modelled as well as the fact that different departments of one company prefer different simulation tools, can place a limit to using only one simulation software. Here co-simulation can be a solution to benefit both from the expertise of experienced staff of different departments as well as of the specialization of certain simulation tools. Furthermore existing models can be reused, saving time and money. Apart from these economic advantages, parallelization can yield a higher overall simulation speed. Furthermore, choice of coupling variables as well as methodology can improve initialization and time needed for model integration compared to a non-parallelized simulation of the entire system using one monolithical system model.
